Social cohesion and school-rebuilding tender across six conflict-affected schools, with the project implementation plan delivered alongside the local team.
Overview
After the territorial defeat of the Islamic State, the Niniveh Plains were left with shattered school infrastructure and deeply fractured inter-communal relations. Un Ponte per partnered with the Department of Education and the German Cooperation to rebuild six schools as cohesion infrastructure — not just buildings.
I coordinated the tender process for the rebuilds (in collaboration with the local team in Erbil), facilitated the social-cohesion programming embedded in each school's reopening, and led the project implementation planning.
